Some of the members from Troop 931 spent the day and night at Mr. Burkes house practicing for the Wilderness Survival MB class that they signed up for later in September. One of the main goals on this day was to build a shelter from natural materials and spend the night in it. Scouts also learned how to build fires as well as make fire from different methods. Fire by friction is harder to do than you think! Over all things went well and everyone had a good time while learning a lot about the art of survival and themselves.
