Work started on the Klondike sled tonight. Mr. Rotolo had pre-cut the boards for the patrol which proved to be very helpful. The scouts worked along side made sure everything was going to fit together for the final assembly. Some small modifications will be made and next week should be set for putting it all together in time for the weekend. Final menu and duty roster plans were made and the QM and Scribe worked on going through the patrols dry food stuff bin and making a list. PL Greg was will be doing the food shopping for the patrol. All scouts were advised to have their packs ready for inspection for next weeks meeting as well as items that the patrol will need for the patrol competitions.

More work for the Klondike tonight. We determined that work on the sled will need to wait to next week to give Mr. Rotolo a chance to cut the pieces needed for the sled. Next week we will focus on assembly. The Quartermaster AJ and our Secretary Justin took inventory of the patrols food supplies. PL Greg and APL Michael workend on fine tuning the menu, grocery list, and campfire program. Lots of work tonight. Very nice job.
The lightning Patrol is getting ready for the klondike by starting work on a sled or "sledge" as they are commonly called. The Scoutmaster was not present tonight and Ast. SM Mr. Rotolo took over the duties of keeping the scouts on task. He reported that they did an excellent job working on the sled and preparing a menu and duty roster for the klondike. they also hosted several Webelos II scouts from Pack 193 tonight.
Can you identify the animal tracks in this photo that Greg and AJ are looking at? Thats what some of the activities were on our most recent camp out. Map and compass work was a big theme for the Saturday at camp and although we had a small turn out for this camp out, everyone had a good time. The Scouts stayed in a lean-to for the weekend and discovered that it was comfortable despite the cold temps and wet/snowy conditions on hand. The camp out will serve as a nice practice run for the Klondike Derby next month right back here at Stonehaven. The Scouts that are going on the camp out this weekend did their gear check with Mr. Burke. Quick meeting as Mr. Kindron was not able to make the meeting. Final preperation for the Camp Out was made. Those going will meet Friday night at the church.
