Troop 931 held a fundraiser at the Marilla Auto Show today. The weather was great, the cars were spectacular and the troop worked hard to sell. I would like to thank the scouts that showed up to help: Eammon B., Justin S., Josh J., and Elliott K. Some special thanks to Michael R. and Cole K for staying the entire day. Thank you to all of the adults that came out and gave a hand, lent equipment, and helped out. A very special thank you to Marianne and Wendy for making the event happen for us. They put in a great deal of work to plan and run the event for the troop. Thank you.

Three of the scouts from the troop went back to summer camp for a second week. They were part of the Provisional Troop 1 of SSR. Better known as Provo. The three, Cole, Eammon and Michael, earned a total of 7 merit badges, three Stand Up Paddle boarding awards and two Kayaking awards. They made some great friends as well from the troop of 23 scouts that made up Provo. Nice job scouts!
![]() Troop 931 attended its very first summer camp the week of July 6-11, 2014. It was a huge success on many levels in my opinion. We had eight scouts and three leaders attend. Here are some stats to give you an idea of what took place: A total of 9 merit badges were earned. All 8 scouts completed the Young Braves program for first year campers. 1 Coo-Stick challenge was won, easily the best looking troop in camp and by that I mean the boys were always in full uniform when it mattered, and many personal achievements were accomplished. And despite the wet weather for the first few days, everyone fared very well. Mr. Rotolo and Mr. Kindron had a leaky roof but also had lakeside property on those days to make up for the leaky roof. I heard the view was very nice. Everyone should be very proud of them self for a job well done. We are already making plans for next year. Mark your calendar for July 5th -11th, 2015 tentatively. |
