The 53rd West Point Camp Out

What an adventure! The scouts participated in a host of activities this weekend. The weather was great and the camp was filled with scouts from all over the North East and as far away as Mississippi and Texas. Over 6,000 Boy Scouts took part in this weekend camp out located at Lake Frederick, West Point, NY. The Cadets ran a great program with a wide variety of activities for the scouts to take part in. Everything from Physical Fitness training to the Ranger Challenge (oh the mud) to fire building and the Zodiac Boats (Go Falcons). It was truly and great weekend to be a scout. Even the weather co-operated with a nice warm spring day and cool nights. Not a drop of rain. The camp closed with a huge bonfire and a DJ playing music in celebration of the event. Our many thanks to Cadet Erin Colburn, who sponsored the troop this year, and to the adults and leaders who made this possible. You helped to create some lasting memories for the scouts of Troop 931. Thank You!
