The weekend was a HUGE success despite the rain and cold. Overall, for a group of brand new Boy Scouts, they did very well. They should be proud. By comparrison, about 50% of the rest of camp buged out Saturday night after flags. Troop 931 should be proud of the job they did this weekend. It would not seem like much fun to out in the weather like this but they did just that. Thorw a bunch of boys in a ring of mud with a ball and I will prove any nay sayers wrong. The patrol made it through all but four events and through the mud on the faces you could see the smiles. Did we get wet, Yes! Did everything go perfect? Not even close. BUT... we all learned from our mistakes. Each of the scouts had plenty to say about the successes and the mistakes, but thats what scouts do, we have fun while learning. Nice job Scouts! I can't wait for the next one!
