The weather held despite some threats of rain and the weekend was perfect. The troop took part in the Spring Polaris District Nautical Exploration Camp O Ree. It was held near Olcott, NY right on Lake Ontario and it was a perfect place for it. The troop competed in several different events, most having a nautical theme to them. The events were different from you regular ones and it was nice to see the scouts trying new things. They had the chance to work at sending and receiving mores code, semaphore, tying nautical knots and geocaching to name a few. We had a couple of the new scouts in the troop join us as well. Overall it was a good weekend and everyone seemed to have fun.
