Troop 931 and members of the Lightning Patrol had a good time this past weekend at Camp Scouthaven. Although light in numbers we made up for it with some excellent skill building. The patrol did a fine job preparing for the campout in terms of menu planning and duty roster as well as their cooking skills. The scouts are really getting the hang of this whole scouting thing as they demonstrated better skills in tent pitching, cooking and general preparedness. The corn dogs that the patrol tried to make in was a very audatious challenge for sure but they turned out fairly well for the first time. I give them a lot of credit! The whole troop took a hike to the lake on top of the hill and learned some map and compass skills along the way.
