Summer camp this year was a new and exciting event for both the troop and everyone that attended. Including me. We traveled to the eastern side of Cayuga Lake, Trumansburgh, NY to be exact. What a great little camp that sits on a large lake that is meant for sailing. The scouts in the troop took to the camp right away and once they got the lay of the land they had no problem getting around. One of the highlights of the week was the entertainment that the camp provided in the dinning hall and at the Campfires. They certainly have a rich tradition at the camp and some memorable personalities. This was the most scouts that troop 931 had ever taken to summer camp and everyone should be proud of that. A TON of merit badges were earned and the newer scouts were able to finish many of the basic requirements for rank advancement. Many of the scouts remarked about wanting to return to the camp in the future, which we may have to do. Please share your thoughts about the camp.
